I belong to the Minimal Mom Mentorship group (private Facebook group). It’s a place with like-minded women can share their successes and it’s all guided by Dawn herself. I feel like that is a post all in of itself, but for here I’ll say there are often different challenges and the summer is no exception. The first week was off to a good start, so I made a video to share my progress over the first week while focusing on kitchens.
I’m in the phase where I’ve already gone through the first layer, so now it’s all about pushing myself further. I decluttered many areas in the kitchen this week and also did small projects that I’d been putting off like lining some drawers and cupboards. I went through and found some hidden pots and pans (because who doesn’t do that?!?!) and just kept going. I tried to come up with solutions that made sense. I am always surprised that even with all the work I’ve already done, how much I kept “because I had the space”. But my cup cabinet was still out of control and I got rid of so much extra stuff. It looks so much better with open space and it’s a reminder that pushing yourself a little further can go a long way! I was even able to empty full shelves and some drawers. Still empty 2 weeks later.
